Adjarian khachapuri is not only cheese with egg. You can take different fillings and experiment at your discretion. For example, in this recipe I suggest adding some spinach. Or any other greens to taste.
Ingredients
For the dough:
- Milk - 150 ml
- Water - 50 ml
- Fresh yeast - 25 g
- Chicken eggs - 1 piece
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Vegetable oil - 8 art.l.
- Flour - 500 g
For filling:
- Suluguni - 220 g
- Spinach - 50 g
- Butter - 15 g
- Quail eggs - 6-9 pieces
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Dissolve yeast in warm milk with water. Leave it on for 15 minutes.
Add egg, salt and butter, and then add flour. Knead the elastic dough.
Leave the dough in the heat for an hour, divide into parts, roll out and form boats.
Chop the spinach and fry in butter. Mix with grated suluguni.
Arrange the filling into boats and leave them for another 15 minutes. If desired, brush with yolk.
Bake khachapuri for 20 minutes in the oven at 200 degrees.
Add a few quail yolks to each and put it in the oven for another minute.
