Pies are cooked all over the world. In Spain, they are called "Empanadas", which means a pie with a filling. The main feature can be called the method of modeling. Baking is similar to a large dumpling with openwork edges. Today we will cook Spanish empanadas with ground beef and parsley.
Ingredients
- Flour - 350 g
- Milk - 150 ml
- Chicken eggs - 1 piece
- Baking powder dough - 1 tsp.
- Butter - 125 g
- Sugar - 0,5 tsp.
- Salt - 0,5 tsp.
- Ground beef - 400 g
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Parsley - halfpuchka
- Vegetable oil - 2 art.l.
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Carefully divide the egg into white and yolk.
Sift flour into a wide bowl, add baking powder, sugar and salt.
Pour in warm milk, melted butter and lightly whipped protein.
Knead the soft dough, cover with a towel and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour.
Finely chop the parsley, peeled garlic and onion.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion and fry until golden brown.
Add the minced meat and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Try to knead the mass until smooth.
Turn off the heat, add parsley, garlic, ground black pepper and salt. Mix everything well.
Knead the dough slightly and divide it into 14 identical pieces.
Roll out a round cake from each piece, lay out a little filling and seal it according to the principle of a dumpling.
Put the blanks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with yolk and send it to a preheated 180 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.
