Fragrant croissant with crispy crust and sweet and sour cherry filling is amazingly delicious! Buy puff pastry at the store and baking will not take you much time. It is better to use fresh or canned cherries for filling.
Ingredients
- Puff pastry - 500 g
- Powdered sugar - 1 art.l.
- Cherry - 1 glass
- Corn Starch - 1 tsp.
- Sugar - 2 art.l.
- Chicken eggs (for lubrication) – 1 piece
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Defrost the dough at room temperature.
Wash the cherries, dry them on a towel and remove the bones.
Put the cherries in a colander, add sugar and corn starch, mix.
Roll out the dough thinly, moving in one direction. Cut the same triangles.
Put a couple of cherries on the wide edge and gently roll up the loose roll. Repeat the steps with the remaining blanks and cherries.
Cover the baking sheet with baking paper, lay out the croissants, leaving enough space between them.
Loosen the egg with a fork and use a silicone brush to lubricate the croissants.
Bake for 10 minutes in a preheated oven at 210 degrees, then reduce to 180 degrees and continue cooking for another 15 minutes.
Put the croissants on a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
