Homemade cakes are many times tastier than their store counterparts. This is not surprising, because every housewife adds the main ingredient to it — her love. Let's make croissants from homemade puff pastry with love today.

Ingredients

For croissants:
  • Flour - 320 g
  • Dry yeast - 1 tsp.
  • Butter (soft) – 80 g
  • Milk (warm) – 60 ml
  • Water (warm) – 6 tbsp.l.
  • Sugar - 2 tsp.
  • Salt - 0,25 tsp.
  • Honey (liquid) – 10 tsp.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Mix milk, water, sugar and dry yeast in a deep bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and put away for 15 minutes in a warm place.

Pour the sifted flour in parts, add salt, 30 g of butter and knead a thick dough.

Form a round ball of dough, cover with a towel and leave in the heat for 1.5-2 hours. The dough should greatly increase in volume.

Knead the dough, divide into 6 identical parts and roll out thin tortillas of the same diameter.

Place the tortillas on top of each other, greasing with butter. The upper one does not need to be lubricated.

Carefully roll out a stack of tortillas into the thinnest possible cake.

Cut the circle into 8 identical segments.

Gently brush each with honey. At the rate of 1 tsp per segment.

Starting from the wide edge, twist each segment into a loose roll.

Place the croissants on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Keep in mind that they will greatly increase in volume.

Mix the milk with the egg yolk, and grease the croissants.

Bake in a well-heated oven according to the following scheme: 10 minutes at a temperature of 210 degrees, and then another 15 minutes at a temperature of 190 degrees.
