This recipe for Kazakh curd baursaks is so successful that my family asks me to cook them quite often. Why not? For tea, for breakfast, when guests are on the doorstep ... And it's also a great option to feed cottage cheese to those who don't like it.
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese - 200 g
- Flour - 200 g
- Sour cream - 80 g
- Chicken eggs - 3 pcs.
- Salt - pinch
- Sugar - 50 g
- Baking soda - 0,5 tsp.
- Vegetable oil - for deep frying
- Powdered sugar - for submission
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wipe the cottage cheese through a sieve. Add eggs, sour cream, sugar, salt and soda.
Gradually introduce the sifted flour. As soon as the dough can be collected into a lump, put it on the table and sprinkle with flour. Divide the dough into 3 parts, roll into sausages and cut into small pieces. Give each piece of dough a neat shape.
Fry the baursaks in a large amount of preheated vegetable oil until golden brown, then flip them into a colander to drain excess oil.
Sprinkle the slightly cooled curd baursaks with powdered sugar and serve to the table.
