Wash the chickpeas and soak for 5 hours.
Cut the pork into small pieces and place it in a saucepan.
Add chickpeas, bay leaf, black pepper and cold water. Cook for 50 minutes on low heat.

Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion and carrot and fry until golden brown.
