Store shelves are littered with seasonal apples, which means it's time to start canning them. Use this recipe and make apple jam with cinnamon. I do not advise adding a powdered version of the spice, as the sticks give a much stronger effect.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the apples into quarters, peel the seeds and chop.
Put the pieces of fruit in a saucepan. Add lemon juice, sugar, water, cinnamon and mix well.
Boil three times for 5 minutes, taking breaks for 1 hour.
Fish out the cinnamon sticks and throw them away.
Put the hot apple jam in clean, dry jars and roll it up.
