The dish is the result of painstaking work, but there is not always time for it. Especially for such cases, housewives stock up on homemade semi-finished products. Among the most popular are borscht dressing with beets and carrots. You definitely need to cook it!

Ingredients

  • Beetroot - 1 kg
  • Carrots - 1 kg
  • Onion - 4 pieces
  • Vegetable oil - 80 ml
  • Vinegar - 3 art.l.
  • Black Pepper - 4 peas
  • Bay leaf - 2 pieces
  • Salt - 2 tsp.
  • Water - 2 l

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Prepare the vegetables and chop them finely.

Fry the onion in oil until transparent.

Add carrots, spices and continue cooking for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.

Add the beets and fry all together for 15 minutes.

Add salt, pour in hot water and simmer for 40 minutes under the lid.

Pour in the vinegar, stir and remove from the heat after 2 minutes.

Put the borscht dressing in sterilized jars and roll it up.
