Apple jam is easy to prepare at home. In winter, a jar of goodies perfectly diversifies family tea parties and will serve as a good filling in sweet pastries. Thick, with a subtle hint of cinnamon, apple jam will take its rightful place in the pantry.
Ingredients
- Apples - 1,5 kg
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Ground cinnamon - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the apples, peel and core, cut into arbitrary slices. From 1.5 kg of apples, I get about 1 kg of peeled apple slices.
Pass the prepared apples through a meat grinder.
Place the resulting applesauce in a cooking pot and cover with half a serving (0.5 kg) of sugar. Stir and leave for 20-25 minutes.
Then add the remaining sugar, stir and bring to a boil over medium heat under a lid. Reduce the heat and boil the jam without a lid for about 30 minutes, removing the foam (the mass should decrease by about half).
Add the cinnamon, mix well, remove the pan from the heat.
Pack the boiling jam into pre-sterilized jars, seal tightly and cool.
