Do you like crispy gherkins, but don't want to buy them in the store all the time? And this is not necessary – they are very easy to prepare on their own, and they turn out even tastier. Moreover, there are many different recipes, for example – these are gherkins in Bulgarian.
Ingredients
- Gherkins - 400 g
- Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp.
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Carrots - 2 slices
- Dill - 1 umbrella
- Black Pepper - 5 peas
- Horseradish Root - 2 slices
- Hot red pepper (small) – 1 piece
- Water - 240 ml
- Salt - 10 g
- Sugar - 20 g
- Vinegar - 90 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Soak the gherkins for a couple of hours in cold water.
Boil water with salt, sugar and vinegar.
Place the gherkins and all other ingredients carefully in a sterile jar.
Pour the cucumbers with boiling brine and roll up for the winter.
