One of the best ways to keep a supply of vegetables for the winter is to cook lecho. Rice makes it even more satisfying, turning it into a full-fledged independent dish. Thick texture, rich taste, bright color and wonderful aroma. At the same time, I will tell you how to cook all this without sterilization.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 1 kg
- Fig - 1 glass
- Carrots - 500 g
- Bell pepper - 600 g
- Onion - 300 g
- Vegetable oil - 1 glass
- Sugar - 50 g
- Salt - 20 g
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tbsp.l.
- Vinegar - 40 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop tomatoes in a blender, add butter, salt and sugar, and bring to a boil.
Add the remaining chopped vegetables and cook for another 10 minutes.
Add the washed rice and cook for another 20 minutes.
Add vinegar and spices to taste to the lecho, boil for another minute and roll it into sterile jars.
