Rinse the peas thoroughly and cover with cold water for 5 hours.
Chop the duck, peeled onions and potatoes, grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
Rinse the peas again, pour in clean water, add duck and bay leaf. Cook for 1.5 hours over low heat.
Remove the meat from the pan, separate it from the bone and throw it back into the broth.
Add potatoes, crushed peas of allspice, boil for another 10 minutes.
Add onion, carrot and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat.
Add salt and turn off. Cover the soup with a lid and wrap it with a warm towel for 20 minutes.
