There are so many different ways to marinate mackerel, but not all of them are suitable for winter preparations. Today I offer you a recipe specifically for long-term storage. Such a fish will help out if guests suddenly arrive or just want something new.
Ingredients
- Mackerel - 1.5 kg
- Vegetable oil - 100 ml
- Water - 80 ml
- Bay leaf - 4 pieces
- Ground black pepper - 4 pinches
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Garlic - 6 teeth
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Put bay leaves in sterile jars. Top with sliced mackerel, and sprinkle it with salt and spices.
Add the garlic sliced into plates there.
Pour in the oil and water, a little short of the edge.
Cover the jars with foil, send them to a cold oven and preheat to 180 degrees.
Cook the mackerel for 50 minutes. Reduce the heat to 120 and cook for another 2-3 hours.
Roll up the jars with lids.
