I love salads that you can prepare in advance and enjoy them for a long time. This beetroot salad with apples is one of my favorites. The perfect balance between sweetness and sourness. I prepare it in advance and store it in jars to always have it on hand.
Ingredients
- Beetroot - 1.5 kg
- Apples - 700 g
- Carrots - 4 pieces
- Water - 150 ml
- Salt - 1.5 art.l.
- Sugar - 3 tbsp.l.
- Apple cider vinegar - 50 ml
- Vegetable oil - 120 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Grate the beets and carrots. Add oil, vinegar and water.
Heat up and add salt and sugar.
Bring to a boil and add the peeled chopped apples.
Simmer the salad for about an hour on low heat and roll it into sterile jars.
