The worldwide popularity of Hungarian snacks has led to the appearance of many different recipes. Recently I came across a variant of lecho with carrots and onions. In my opinion, such a snack is more convenient to use for adding to soups and stews.
Ingredients
- Bell pepper - 1 kg
- Tomatoes - 1 kg
- Carrots - 500 g
- Onion - 500 g
- Vegetable oil - 100 ml
- Vinegar - 80 ml
- Paprika - 0,5 tsp.
- Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
- Sugar - 150 g
- Salt - 100 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop carrots, peeled onions and bell peppers.
Pass tomatoes through a juicer.
Mix tomato juice, sugar, salt, spices and boil for 10 minutes.
Fry the onion in oil until transparent.
Add fried tomatoes, carrots and bell peppers to the tomato juice. Boil everything together for 20 minutes.
Pour in the vinegar, boil for another 1 minute and turn off the heat.
Put the lecho into jars, roll it up and turn it upside down.
