Cover the pitted cherries with sugar and leave for a couple of hours.

Bring the jam to a boil and boil for 10 minutes, removing the foam.

Pour boiling water over the almonds for a couple of minutes and peel them off.

Put the almonds in the jam, bring to a boil again and boil for another 4 minutes.

Roll the jam into sterile jars.
