Let me share with you my favorite recipe for pickled gherkins. This is an easy way to keep the freshness and crunch of the vegetable for the long winter months. You don't need to be an experienced cook to get a delicious and flavorful snack.

Ingredients

  • Gherkins - 1 kg
  • Black Pepper - 10 peas
  • Bay leaf - 4 pieces
  • Salt - 1 tbsp.l .
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Dill - 4 umbrella
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Sugar - 2 art.l.
  • Vinegar (essence) – 1 tbsp.l.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Pre-fill the gherkins with cold water for a couple of hours.

Put umbrellas of dill, garlic, bay leaf and pepper in sterile jars.

Place the gherkins tightly, pour boiling water and leave for half an hour under the lid.

Cook the marinade from pure water, salt, sugar and vinegar.

Drain the gherkins, fill them with marinade and roll them up for the winter.
