Down with chocolates and cakes! It is better to stock up on dried apples for the winter. They can be eaten instead of sweets, added to compotes, jelly and tea. Previously, the fruits are soaked in acidified water. Thanks to this, they do not darken.

Ingredients

  • Apples - 2 kg
  • Citric acid - 0,5 tsp.
  • Water - 2 l

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Cut the apples into quarters, remove the core with the seeds, cut into slices.

Mix water with citric acid.

Add the apples, stir and leave for 5 minutes.

Drain the water, put the apples on a towel and rinse thoroughly.

Cover the baking sheet with baking paper, lay out the apple slices so that they do not touch each other.

Dry at 60 degrees for 5-6 hours.

Take out the finished apples, put them in dry jars and close the lids tightly.
