Today I want to share with you a unique recipe for pickled cucumbers with red currants. Forget about boring canned food from the store and enjoy the crispy and fragrant cucumbers that will pamper you all season. Also without vinegar.
Ingredients
- Cucumbers - 1.5 kg
- Garlic - 1 head
- Currant leaves - 4 pieces
- Cherry leaves - 4 pieces
- Red currant - 1 glass
- Dill - 4 umbrella
- Allspice - 1 art.l.
- Water - 700 ml
- Salt - 1 tbsp.l.
- Sugar - 2 art.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pre-soak cucumbers for a couple of hours in cold water.
Arrange cucumbers, garlic, leaves, currant berries and pepper in sterilized jars.
Pour boiling water and leave for 20 minutes under the lid.
Drain this water and boil it again with salt, sugar and citric acid.
Pour into jars and sterilize them for another 10 minutes.
Roll up cucumbers for the winter.
