Boil the beef until tender and strain the broth.

Chop all the vegetables smaller. Beets and carrots can be grated.

Fry the onion and carrot for 3 minutes. Add the beets and fry as much more.

Add the pumpkin, and after 2 minutes – tomato paste and grated tomatoes without skin.

Pour a little broth and simmer everything under the lid for 5 minutes.

Add the rest of the broth, add the beef and cook the borscht for 30 minutes until the vegetables are ready. At the very end, season.
