Cabbage is not exactly a classic ingredient for a hodgepodge, but still it fits perfectly here. You just need to figure out in advance at what point to add it. I have tried different options, and today I will share with you the most successful one.
Ingredients
- Cabbage - 500 g
- Chicken fillet - 1 piece
- Smoked sausage - 200 g
- Sausages - 200 g
- Carrots - 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Tomato paste - 1 art.l.
- Olives - 1 handful
- Pickled cucumbers - 3 pieces
- Cucumber pickle - 100 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Fill the chicken with water and boil until tender. Take it out and slice it.
Randomly chop all the other ingredients.
Simmer the cabbage until soft and add tomato paste. Simmer for another minute.
Separately fry the carrots and onions. Add the peeled tomatoes and fry for a couple more minutes. At the end, add the cucumbers and mix.
Send all the meat ingredients to the boiling broth. After 10 minutes, add everything else, including the brine.
Cook the hodgepodge for another 15 minutes on low heat.
