I don't like canned compotes from one ingredient too much. Mixtures of fruits and berries are much more interesting, and even brighter in color. Today I propose this option with apples and two types of currants.
Ingredients
- Apples - 600 g
- Red currant - 200 g
- Black Currant - 350 g
- Sugar - 1 glass
- Water - 2 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Slice the apples, rinse the currants and put everything in sterile jars.
Pour boiling water and leave under the lid for 10 minutes.
Drain the water, boil again, fill the jars again and leave for another 10 minutes.
Repeat the previous step, but before the last filling, add sugar to the water, and then immediately roll up the jars.
