This method was popular even with our grandmothers. Thick apricot jam without seeds is convenient to use as a filling for baking. Fruits are passed through a meat grinder, so the consistency of the finished product is homogeneous.

Ingredients

  • Apricots - 3 kg
  • Sugar - 1,5 kg
  • Citric acid - 0,5 tsp.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the apricots, divide into halves and peel the seeds.

Put the pieces of fruit through a meat grinder.

Mix the resulting mass with sugar and boil for 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.

Put the pan on the fire again, add citric acid and boil over moderate heat for another 10 minutes.

Fill sterilized jars with hot jam, roll up and wrap with a thick towel. After a day, the cooled billets can be moved to a cool place.
