In addition to the usual pickles for the winter, it is necessary to prepare many different sauces. Among them there should certainly be tomato and pepper ketchup. It is not difficult to cook it at all. I tell you how I do it.

Cut the hot and Bulgarian pepper in half, peel off the seeds.

Cut tomatoes into large pieces.

Put tomatoes, hot and bell peppers in a saucepan.

Sprinkle with sugar and leave for half an hour.

Put the pan on low heat and cook for 20 minutes.

Rub the soft vegetables through a sieve to get rid of the peel and seeds.

Mix the resulting mass with spices, salt and vegetable oil.

Simmer for 1 hour. Do not forget to stir, otherwise the mass will definitely burn.

Add the garlic passed through the press and simmer for another 10 minutes.

Pour in the vinegar, stir and immediately remove from the heat.

Put the ketchup in clean, dry jars and roll it up.
