Gooseberries are often undeservedly overlooked, but this is a wonderful berry for winter preparations. Today I will tell you how to properly roll up an excellent compote that will stand all winter and will delight on cold days.
Ingredients
- Gooseberry - 1.5 kg
- Water - 1.5 l
- Sugar - 1.5 glasses
- Citric acid - 2 pinches
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash and sort the gooseberries, and put them in sterile jars.
Pour boiling water over it and leave it under the lid for 10 minutes.
Drain this water into a saucepan, add sugar and bring to a boil again.
Pour the gooseberries again, add citric acid and roll up the jars.
