My favorite way to preserve the taste and aroma of a familiar, but still exotic fruit is tangerines in syrup. It turns out a sweet and fragrant dessert that can be used as an additive to ice cream, cakes or pastries.
Ingredients
- Tangerines - 1 kg
- Sugar - 300 g
- Water - 600 ml
- Turmeric - 0.25 tsp.
- Ground cinnamon - 1 tsp.
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
- Citric acid - 0.3 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Disassemble the tangerines into slices and remove all the white streaks.
Boil water with sugar and boil for 5 minutes.
Add all the spices and boil the syrup a little more until it thickens.
Add the tangerine slices to the syrup and bring to a boil again.
Roll them up in sterile jars.
