Cloudberry jam will not leave indifferent sweet tooth and will definitely delight children. Plus, it is a storehouse of vitamins in the cold season. This fragrant jam has one drawback - the delicacy is eaten so quickly that it may not last until winter!
Ingredients
- Cloudberry - 500 g
- Sugar - 500 g
- Water - 250 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pick the berries, rinse them under running cold water and put them in a colander.
To prepare the syrup, boil water in a jam-making bowl, add sugar, stir and heat the syrup over low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Without removing the bowl from the heat, place the prepared cloudberries in the boiling syrup. Boil for 20 minutes after boiling. Then remove the workpiece from the heat and pour the syrup with cloudberry through a sieve into a large clean container. Carefully grind the remaining berries through a sieve. This will allow you to remove sufficiently large berry bones. Then return the workpiece back to the cooking bowl.
Bring the mass to a boil again over low heat, do not forget to stir occasionally, turn down the heat and boil the jam for another 5-7 minutes.
Pour the hot cloudberry jam into pre-prepared sterile jars, roll it up, turn it upside down, wrap it warmly and leave it to cool completely. Transfer the finished jam to a cool, dark place for storage. You can also store the treat in the refrigerator.
