Pre-soak the beans overnight and boil until tender.

Chop tomatoes in a meat grinder. Add butter, sugar and salt, and bring to a boil.

Boil the tomatoes for 10 minutes. Add chopped Bulgarian and hot pepper.

Boil the lecho for another half hour.

Add the beans. Continue to cook the lecho.

After another 10 minutes, add vinegar and chopped garlic.

After another 5 minutes, roll the lecho into sterilized jars.
