If you want to add refreshing notes to the usual sweet jam, catch a solution. Such a billet of gooseberries with lemon and mint will not leave anyone indifferent. A completely unusual, but very harmonious combination – well, how can you resist here?
Ingredients
- Gooseberry - 1 kg
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Mint - 4 twigs
- Sugar - 800 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut off the gooseberry tails, cover the berry with sugar and mash it slightly with a pusher.
Leave the berry for a couple of hours.
Bring to a boil. Add lemon juice, a little zest to taste and whole mint sprigs.
Cook the jam for 20-30 minutes on low heat.
Remove the mint and arrange the jam in clean, dry jars.
