Pickled asparagus beans for winter are an original preparation that can be served to the table as an independent snack or side dish. Add spicy string beans to all kinds of salads to diversify the diet in the cold season.

Ingredients

  • String beans - 300 g
  • Hot red pepper - to taste
  • Bay leaf - 1 pcs.
  • Ground black pepper - 2 pinches
  • Water - 1 glass
  • Vinegar (9%) – 1 tbsp.l.
  • Sugar - 1,5 tsp.
  • Salt - 1 tsp.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Rinse the bean pods and dry them slightly. Cut the pods into small pieces.

Boil water, put the prepared beans in boiling water, bring to a boil and boil for 1-2 minutes. Then immediately discard the beans in a colander.

Fill a pre-sterilized jar with beans.

Prepare the marinade: boil clean water, add salt, sugar and bay leaf. Boil for 2-3 minutes, add vinegar, stir and remove the marinade from the heat.

Pour boiling marinade over the beans in a jar, seal tightly, turn upside down, wrap and cool. Store the cooled pickled asparagus beans in a cool, dark place.
