If you like thick jams, so that there is a spoon – the easiest way to achieve this result is with agar-agar. It has no taste, so it does not spoil the pear in any way. And unlike gelatin, it is of plant origin, so it is suitable even for vegans.

Peel the pears and chop them very finely.

Add lemon juice and sugar, and leave for 2 hours.

Bring to a boil, remove the workpiece from the heat and leave for about a day.

Drain the syrup and soak the agar-agar in it for half an hour.

Pour the syrup back to the pears and mix.

Bring the jam to a boil, boil for 2 minutes and roll it into sterile jars.
