Of course, the traditional tomato satsebeli sauce can be bought at the store. But it will never be as tasty and even healthy as homemade. Therefore, I want to tell you how to properly prepare it yourself.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 3 kg
- Garlic - 100 kg
- Bell pepper - 1 kg
- Chili pepper - 3 pieces
- Hop-suneli - 1 art.l.
- Ground coriander - 1 tbsp.l.
- Ground red pepper - 1 tsp.
- Wine vinegar - 1 art.l.
- Sugar - 1 tbsp.l.
- Salt - 1 art.l.
- Water - 100 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut tomatoes and peppers into slices. Chop the garlic and chilli.
Add water to all this, bring to a boil and cook for an hour over medium heat with the lid half-closed.
Whisk the sauce with a blender, add all the spices and boil again.
Boil for another 3 minutes, pour in the vinegar and roll the satsebels into sterile jars.
