Paradise apple jam is one of the most unusual and original. Small apples with tails look spectacular both in a jam bowl and as a dessert decoration. A la cocktail version turns out. Be sure to prepare this interesting treat!

Ingredients

  • Apples (paradise) – 1 kg
  • Sugar - 1 kg
  • Water - 150 ml
  • Spices and seasonings (cloves, cinnamon, vanilla, star anise) – optional

Step-by-step cooking recipe

I advise you to select the smallest apples for this jam. So, wash the fruits, leaving the tails (so the jam will look more original). So that the apples do not burst during cooking and retain their shape, prick each apple in several places with a toothpick.

Put the apples in a cooking pot and cover with half the sugar. Leave the workpiece for several hours (preferably overnight) at room temperature to form juice.

In a saucepan, combine the water and the remaining sugar. Heat the syrup, stirring, until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Pour hot syrup over the apples. If you are making jam with spices, now is the time to add them. You can use both ground spices and whole ones in pods, buds, sticks, etc. Do not forget to remove the latter from the finished jam before clogging.

Put the workpiece on the fire, bring to a boil and boil over low heat, stirring, for 40 minutes.

Pack the hot jam in pre-sterilized jars, seal tightly and cool. Store the cooled delicacy in a cool dark place.
