What kind of canned zucchini recipes you won't find on the web! Today I will share one of them, as for me, unusual and interesting: we will prepare zucchini that taste like shish kebab. The recipe is simple, proven and fast. Try it for sure!

Ingredients

  • Young zucchini - 2,5 kg
  • Onion - 500 g
  • Garlic - 1 head
  • Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
  • Spices and seasonings (for barbecue) – 30 g
  • Vegetable oil (refined) – 60 ml
  • Vinegar (9%) – 50 ml
  • Sugar - 2 art.l.
  • Salt - 1 tbsp.l.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the zucchini and cut into 0.5-1 cm thick circles.

Pour vegetable oil over the zucchini and mix well.

Fry the zucchini in a dry frying pan on both sides until nicely browned. Transfer the zucchini to a marinating bowl.

Cut the onion into large half rings and add to the fried zucchini. Send the chopped garlic there as well.

Mix the vegetables well, add salt, sugar, ground pepper and seasoning for barbecue.

Add vinegar and mix well again.

Cover the bowl with the workpiece with a plate suitable in size, set the pressure on top and send it to the refrigerator for marinating for 5-6 hours, preferably overnight.

Then fill the sterile jars tightly with the blank and pour the remaining juice to the top. Cover the jars with sterile lids and send them to be sterilized in a pot of water for 15-20 minutes.

After sterilization, roll up the jars, turn them upside down, wrap them up and leave them to cool completely. Store the workpiece in a cool, dark place.
