Give the collected red currant berries a second life - cook fragrant homemade jam and enjoy the delicacy at least every day for a year! Bright and healthy, with a huge content of vitamins, currant jam will appeal to children and adults.

Ingredients

  • Currant - 2 kg
  • Sugar - 2 kg
  • Water - 2 glasses

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Carefully remove the currant from the twigs, rinse and dry.

Boil syrup from water and sugar.

Place the prepared berries in boiling syrup, bring to a boil and mix intensively with a wooden spoon. Remove the workpiece from the heat and cool.

Repeat the cooking and stirring procedure 2 more times.

Pack hot currant jam in pre-sterilized jars, seal tightly, turn upside down, wrap and cool. Store the cooled workpiece in a cool, dark place.
