Favorite homemade treat – cherry in syrup. It is suitable for anything: for fillings, cakes, pancakes, cheesecakes, cottage cheese or just for tea. To make it even more versatile, I prefer to roll it up immediately without pits, and then I'll tell you how

Ingredients

  • Cherry (pitted) – 1 kg
  • Sugar - 1 kg
  • Water - 700 ml

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Boil water with sugar and boil until dissolved.

Boil the syrup for another 5-7 minutes. You can add vanilla or citric acid to taste.

Put the pitted cherries in the syrup, bring to a boil again and boil for another 1-2 minutes.

Roll the blank into sterile jars.
