If you do not like ordinary onions and do not use them in cooking, this is not a reason to abandon classic recipes. Even in traditional Ukrainian borscht, it is easy to replace it with green onions. And for flavor, you can always add garlic. I propose a lean version this time.
Ingredients
- Carrots - 2 pieces
- Beetroot - 2 pieces
- Potatoes - 3 pieces
- Red cabbage - 250 g
- Celery root - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 teeth
- Green onion - 4 pen
- Dill - 4 twigs
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop the cabbage and cut the rest of the vegetables into strips.
Boil water or vegetable broth, send beets, potatoes and cabbage there.
After 10 minutes, add the remaining vegetables and cook all together for another half hour.
Add chopped green onion, garlic and dill, and let the borscht brew a little under the lid.
