Pickled beetroot for winter without sterilization
Why preserve beets for the winter, if you can buy them all year round in any store? This is true, but we will prepare boiled and already peeled beets, which in winter can be immediately put into operation, bypassing the stage of long cooking. Agree, it's convenient!
Ingredients
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Rinse the beets thoroughly and boil until tender (about 1 hour). Then cool a little, peel and cut into circles.
Fill pre-sterilized jars with prepared beets.
Boil water and pour boiling water over the beets in jars. Cover the jars with sterile lids and leave to warm up for 10 minutes.
Drain the liquid from the jars into a saucepan, add salt, sugar, bay leaf, cloves and pepper. Bring the marinade to a boil and boil for 10 minutes.
1-2 minutes before cooking, add vinegar, mix.
Pour boiling marinade over the beetroot in jars. Seal the jars tightly, turn them upside down, wrap them up and leave them to cool completely. Store the cooled workpiece in a cool, dark place.
