Blackthorn jam without seeds

I share a recipe for sloe jam - tender, fragrant and a little tart. Minimal heat treatment of fruits allows you to preserve all the useful substances contained in the thorn. The cooking technology is so simple that even a beginner can cope.


Step-by-step cooking recipe

Turn over, rinse, remove the seeds from the fruit.

Put the blackthorn in a cooking pot, sprinkle with sugar and leave for 6-8 hours to form juice.

After the specified time, boil the workpiece for 2-3 minutes and set aside for 8-12 hours. Repeat the procedure 3 times, increasing the time of the last cooking to 5-7 minutes after boiling.

Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars, roll up, turn upside down and leave in the heat until completely cooled. Ready-made blackthorn jam without seeds can be stored for a long time at room temperature.
