Rhubarb is not the easiest ingredient, and it is not always clear what to do with it. But in fact a lot of things! For example, here is such a wonderful sauce that is suitable for meat, poultry and any other dishes. And at the same time I'll tell you how to roll it up for the winter.
Ingredients
- Rhubarb - 250 g
- Purple onion - 1 piece
- Brown Sugar - 70 g
- Wine vinegar - 40 ml
- Chili pepper - 0.5 pieces
- Ginger - 10 g
- Honey - 40 g
- Salt - 2 tsp.
- Thyme - 0.5 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Finely chop the onion and rhubarb, add sugar and pour vinegar.
Boil for half an hour and add the chopped garlic and chili.
Boil for another 5 minutes and add the remaining ingredients.
Beat the sauce with a blender, bring it to a boil again and roll it into sterile jars.
