Did you know that zucchini is not only a valuable vegetable, but also an excellent base for compote or jam? It is the recipe of excellent fragrant jam that I want to share with you today. Serve it for dessert with sweets or add a little spices – and get a ready-made vegetable sauce.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the zucchini into thin slices or cubes – as you like.
Pour 2/3 of the sugar with water, bring to a boil over medium heat and add the zucchini and the remaining sugar to the syrup.
Cook the vegetables for 10-15 minutes, stirring regularly. Old zucchini can be cooked a little longer or under a lid.
Chop the lemon in a blender or grate it together with the zest, and send it to the same place in a saucepan.
Cook everything together for another 20-30 minutes, depending on the desired consistency.
Arrange the jam in sterilized jars and roll it up.
