Traditionally cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers are rolled up for the winter in all possible forms. But what about other vegetables? For example, I highly recommend such a simple recipe for beetroot salad. After all, in winter it is not as sweet and delicious as in the season.

Ingredients

  • Beetroot - 2 kg
  • Onion - 3 pieces
  • Garlic - 5 teeth
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp.l .
  • Salt - 1 art.l.
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.l.
  • Vinegar - 1 art.l.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Grate the beetroot, finely chop the onion and squeeze out the garlic.

Add butter, sugar and salt, bring everything to a boil, and simmer for half an hour, stirring.

Pour in the vinegar, arrange the salad in sterile jars and sterilize for another 10 minutes in a saucepan with water.

Roll up the beets for the winter.
