There are many ways to prepare a black fruit for the winter. One of the most popular is a five-minute jam made of chokeberry. The berries are pre-blanched in boiling water, and then boiled with sugar and citric acid.

Ingredients

  • Chokeberry - 1 kg
  • Sugar - 1 kg
  • Water - 1 l
  • Citric acid - at the tip of the knife

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Put the chokeberry berries in a saucepan.

Pour boiling water, cover and leave for 15 minutes.

Drain the water, cover the rowan with sugar and put it aside for 8-10 hours.

Bring to a boil over low heat, add citric acid and cook for 5 minutes.

Put the jam in the prepared jars, roll it up and turn it upside down.
