In the piggy bank of my favorite winter preparations is this recipe for plum compote. Moderately sweet, very rich – a real joy in winter, when there are very few fresh fruits, and the body lacks vitamins.

Disassemble the plums into halves and cover with sugar.
After 5 minutes, pour water, bring to a boil and boil for a couple of minutes.
Add lemon juice, pour the compote into sterile jars and roll up.
