"I want to buy a watermelon, but everything is too big, who will eat it, it will disappear" – a familiar problem? You will forget about her forever with this recipe! Moreover, such a billet is made very quickly and simply.

Ingredients

  • Watermelon - 2 kg
  • Water - 1.2-1.5 l
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp.l .
  • Vinegar - 2 tbsp.l .
  • Salt - 1 art.l.
  • Celery - 1 stem
  • Greenery - a couple of twigs
  • Bay leaf - 4 pieces
  • Garlic - 4 teeth
  • Black Pepper (polka dots) – 8 pieces

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the watermelon thoroughly and cut into large slices – with or without the peel, as you like.

Put coarsely chopped celery, garlic, pepper and bay leaf on the bottom of a 3-liter jar.

Place the watermelon pieces tightly and add some herbs to taste.

Pour boiling water over everything, cover with a lid and leave for 20-25 minutes.

Drain the water, add salt and sugar to it, bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes.

Pour vinegar into the jar and pour boiling marinade on top, and then roll up.
