Is it hard to give up soda? Gooseberry compote "Mojito" with mint will help you with this. A refreshing drink will be an excellent alternative to harmful drinks from the store. Depending on the variety of berries, the color of the compote may be different.

Ingredients

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Peel the gooseberries from the dry tails and sort them out.

Wash the lemon with boiling water and cut into small pieces together with the peel

Place mint, gooseberries and lemon slices in the prepared jars. I recommend taking up no more than half the volume.

Pour boiling water to the top, cover with lids and leave to warm up for 20 minutes.

Drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar and bring to a boil again.

Pour boiling syrup into jars, roll up and leave for a day in a warm place.
