Every summer is remembered not only by recreation, but also by summer treats. Save the taste of summer in a jar by cooking for the winter melon in syrup. The jars in this recipe can not be sterilized.

Ingredients

  • Melon - 1 kg
  • Sugar - 500 g
  • Citric acid - 20 g

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Prepare the jars, rinse them well and dry them.

Divide the melon in half, separate all the seeds. Cut into small cubes and pour into jars.

Bring the water to a boil and pour into each jar. Drain the water into a bowl, add sugar and bring to a boil. As soon as the syrup boils, pour citric acid into it, mix well and remove from heat.

Pour the syrup into jars with melon. Immediately cover with lids or roll up. Turn the jars over, wrap them up and let them stand until they cool down. Send the finished jam to a dark place before winter.
