Do you want to try a new recipe for delicious vegetable preservation? Cook tomatoes with onions in their own juice! It is impossible to call this option quite simple, but even an inexperienced cook can cope with the task if desired.

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes - 8 kg
  • Onion - 500 g
  • Citric acid (without slide) – 1 tsp.
  • Sugar - 150 g
  • Salt - 90 g

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Peel half of the tomatoes.

Peel the onion from the husk and finely chop it.

Fold both blanks into clean, dry jars.

Pass the remaining tomatoes through a juicer.

Add sugar, salt, citric acid and boil for 5 minutes.

Pour boiling juice into jars with vegetables and sterilize for 15 minutes.

Roll up, turn upside down and wrap up for a day with a thick towel.
