Unfortunately, this plant is not very popular yet. But, if you are lucky enough to buy vegetable physalis, make jam from it. The most difficult thing is to clean and wash the fruits. I advise you to use warm water at the same time.

Ingredients

  • Physalis (vegetable) – 2 kg
  • Sugar - 1,5 kg
  • Citric acid - 0,5 tsp.
  • Anise (ground) – 0.5 tsp.
  • Water - 350 ml

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Physalis peel, rinse and cut into small pieces.

In a deep saucepan, boil the syrup of water and sugar for 3 minutes.

Add physalis, boil for 2 minutes and cool at room temperature. Repeat the procedure twice.

Add anise, citric acid and boil the jam for another 2 minutes.

Spread out in prepared jars and roll up.
