Even the most popular and classic cherry compote can be easily diversified by adding something interesting. For example, here is a refreshing version with mint. In addition, this is a double benefit in one recipe, which is important if we are talking about preparations for the winter.

Ingredients

  • Cherry - 600 g
  • Sugar - 1 glass
  • Mint - 3 twigs
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.l .
  • Water - 2.5 l

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Put the washed cherries in jars, pour boiling water, cover with lids and leave for 10 minutes.

Drain the water and boil it with sugar.

Add lemon juice and mint sprigs to the jars.

Pour the syrup and roll up the cherry compote for the winter.
